About the Install

ny Kalatan Auditorium required an advanced audio system to meet the demands of its diverse events, which include theatrical productions, musical performances, and corporate functions. The goal was to achieve clear, immersive sound with consistent coverage across all areas of the venue, including challenging spaces such as under-balcony and above-balcony sections.

The system needed to provide high speech intelligibility, powerful musical performance, and future scal ability to adapt to evolving needs. To address these requirements, the installation team at Satelite Electronics designed and implemented a bi-amped line array system, utilizing cutting-edge DSP technology for precise control and seamless integration.

The setup featured constant curvature line arrays, subwoofers, fills, and stage monitors, all strategi cally positioned and meticulously calibrated to achieve optimal performance. This comprehensive design ensured exceptional clarity, an expansive dynamic range, and uniform sound distribution across the entire auditorium.

At the core of the setup are British Acoustics' flagship products. The BA Alpha Ray 415-40 and BA Alpha Ray 415-20 line arrays were deployed as the main FOH system, with each side featuring a stack of two 415-20 modules for long-throw coverage and two 415-40 modules for near-field dispersion.

Low-fre quency reinforcement was provided by BA 428 S twin 18" passive subwoofers, delivering impactful bass. The system also included BA Alpha Source 408 speak ers as front fills, BA Alpha Source 426 speakers for under-balcony fills, and BA X110TW coaxial loudspeakers for above-balcony fills, ensuring consistent cover age across all seating areas.

On stage, performers benefit from BA XP15H powered speakers as monitors, delivering precise audio feedback. The entire system is powered and managed by BA Alpha Control 80, a 4x2200W digital processing amplifier, along with BA 2XL amplifiers for FOH high frequencies and rear fills, and a BA TK3000 amplifier for front fills.

Together, these components form a cohesive and robust audio solution that elevates the listening experience for every audience member. This installation transforms Kalatan Auditorium into a venue capable of delivering world-class performances with unparalleled sound clarity and precision.
