The Central Integrated Pest Management Centre (CIPMC) in Faridabad, Haryana functions under the Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, and forms a vital part of India's national framework for promoting Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices. The centre supports a wide range of activities including pest and disease surveillance, dissemination of scientific pest management methodologies, and structured capacity building initiatives for agricultural officers, researchers, and extension professionals. Through regular training programmes, workshops, and technical sessions, the facility acts as a hub for knowledge sharing and skill development, contributing to sustainable and environmentally responsible crop protection strategies across the country.

About the Install

The audio system installation at the Central Integrated Pest Management Centre (CIPMC) auditorium in Faridabad, Haryana was planned to deliver high speech intelligibility, even coverage, and reliable performance for seminars, training sessions, and formal presentations. The client's expectation was clear communication across the full seating area, consistent tonal balance for spoken-word and multimedia content, and an interface that remains easy for staff to operate daily without complexity. The overall outcome needed to support long working sessions with stable sound levels, controlled bass, and clean reproduction that keeps audiences engaged without listener fatigue.

To achieve this, a complete British Acoustics-based solution was deployed with each component selected for a defined role. The BA Aura 315X (15” linear coaxial speaker with Omniwave guide) and BA Aura 308X (8” linear coaxial speaker) ensured smooth dispersion and uniform clarity across the auditorium, while the BA Alpha Sub 418S (18" passive subwoofer) provided controlled low-end reinforcement that supports content without overpowering speech. Flexible reinforcement was covered through the BA XP 12H (12” powered 2-way speaker). System management and routing were handled via the BA Studiomix 32.4 DFX (32-channel live mixing console), with tuning, alignment, and optimisation delivered by the BA Delta Drive 48X (digital standalone audio processing system). Amplification and headroom were ensured by the BA 2XL (2 × 2600W Class H amplifier), and wireless requirements were supported through the OSL OS-B4R HH system for dependable microphone performance.
