ABOUT THE SITE :
Intimate and mysterious is South Delhi’s latest, Zooey, A Culinary Bar. Located at Defence Colony, Zooey offers a menu with a wide range of options that span pan-Asian, European and Mediterranean dishes with a boozy range of cocktails put together by star mixologist Yangdup Lama. Spread across two floors, with lavish decor and interiors—think velvet sofas, chandeliers and brass statues— the space caters to those who enjoy outdoor seating under the evening sky, as well as others who prefer a warm and comfortable ambience indoors. Zooey offers an escape from the mundane with live gigs and delicious cocktails that will make you want to spill your secrets.
ABOUT THE INSTALL:
The owners were very passionate about the project and wanted the top of the line audio systems for the venue. Zooey was a challenging project. The brief was to provide upbeat as well as pleasing music to the indoor section. The site also featured a terrace which also needed the best audio systems.
After much deliberation, an outlined a detailed design was proposed for the venue. The front-of-house system included the Martin Audio Blackline SX218 and Martin Audio Blackline X15. The SX218 subwoofer is a dual-driver, high performance subwoofer. The X15 is a powerful two-way system designed for venues that demand the ultimate sonic performance CDD5 was used as fillers because it is a two-way passive micro speaker designed for discreet positioning in architectural installations. The system at the terrace featured the Martin Audio SX118 subwoofers and CDD12WR as tops. The SX118 is a compact, performance subwoofer and provides an exceptionally low frequency output for such a compact enclosure. The CDD12WR is a two-way system designed for outdoor installations. It features a water and particle resistant grille made from zinc plated mild steel with powder coated finish. The CDD5TX-WR is a weatherised two-way passive micro speaker designed for open-to-air venues. The DX0.5 was chosen as the speaker management system as it provides complete optimisation to passive loudspeaker systems.
