ABOUT THE CLIENT
Contai Public School is an English Medium Co-Educational School established in 1997 by a group of dedicated educators. The school is affiliated to the Council For Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. Later, in the year 2000, Subhashini Memorial Trust was established by the founder principal Mr. Samarendranath Das to govern the school.
CHALLENGES OF THE INSTALL:
Contai Public School is a prestigious institution and a long standing local symbol of excellence in education. Amidst the pandemic, the school decided to upgrade its multi-purpose auditoriums audio & acoustics. The 75 feet square hall is used for all school plays and sometimes even as an activity centre. Our design team approached the auditorium design in a simple manner. The FOH was rigged up using a pair of TRS 212’s suspended from the ceiling and the ever reliable TRS 218 was placed on subwoofer duty. We used a couple of delay fills with the BRW-26 wide dispersion speakers to fill in at the far ends of the auditorium. The BRT-26 was hidden in a compartment within the stage for front-fill duty. 4 units of the British acoustics XP 512i were installed as active stage monitors. The entire system has been powered using the extremely reliable and clean amplification provided by the TK series amplifiers. The microphone solution was designed using OSL microphone systems with the IM 502, O 5D, OSL 110H, OS 18 & OS 42B microphones being mixed over a 24 channel mixer. With the installation being completed, the school is eager to test its equipment and shall be inaugurated within the next few weeks as per the guidelines of the State.
